Dave Mackay - Dave grew up in this
business, first trained by his dad who was a steamfitter
and following in his father’s
footsteps working with Local 274 at
the age of 18.
Dave holds a BS degree in
Mechanical Contracting.
Dave went on to become a licensed New Jersey State
Master Plumber in 1981. He eventually went to work for a
Manufacturers Rep firm in N.J. as a Sales Representative
of boilers. In doing so, he further honed his skills in
radiant and control systems and he’s always enjoyed
sharing his knowledge in the field with his customers.
Dave’s an Associate Member of ASHRAE since 1974, full
member of ASPE, and in 2008 was the Garden State Chapter
of NAOHSM “2008 Educator of the Year”.

Jerry Katz - Jerry is a 45-year veteran
of the plumbing and heating industry. For the past 20
years, his primary focus has been hydronic heating. Mr.
Katz is a recognized expert in contemporary hydronic
heating in residential, industrial and commercial
applications and has been the designer of award-winning
projects.

Having worked with and consulted for several leading
European manufacturers of heating equipment including
boilers, radiation, water heaters and controls, Mr. Katz
has developed a unique approach to system design
resulting in successful projects delivering the features
and efficiency that today’s customers demand. |

Stephen
Knapp - Steve has been involved in the building and
HVAC industry for nearly 30 years, 21 of which have been
with WEA. He has come up through the ranks in the
company, having held positions as service manager,
engineer consultant, territory sales and is currently
the wholesale products sales manager for the our NY
office. Steve is a respected field sales consultant with
broad design, application and troubleshooting expertise.
He also participates in a number of trade organizations
and recently completed a term as associate VP for the
Nassau/ Suffolk chapter of NAOSHM. He has conducted
numerous training seminars over the years on a variety
of topics pertaining to our business. |

Ed Murdock
- Ed has been with WEA for over 24 years. Over this
time, Ed has been a fixture
at various industry association meetings both as a
member and in presenting training seminars. Ed is a
member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Oil Heat Service
Managers Association and has written various articles
for Fuel Oil News Magazine from 1996 through 2003. When
not in the field troubleshooting heating system problems
for various contractors and building owners; you may
find Ed making presentations at the New Jersey State
League of Master Plumbers, PSE&G, various pharmaceutical
firms, colleges or school maintenance departments. |
